FFL transfer requirement
Firearms are never shipped directly to a customer's home or another non-FFL address. A firearm ordered online must be transferred through an appropriately licensed receiving FFL. The purchaser must complete all required steps in person before possession can occur.
Eligibility, Form 4473 & background checks
A proposed transaction remains subject to eligibility review, required records, ATF Form 4473, and any required background-check process. A transfer will not be completed unless all applicable requirements are satisfied.
Florida waiting period
Florida law generally provides for a waiting period of three days, excluding weekends and legal holidays, or until completion of required records checks, whichever occurs later. The statute includes exceptions, including for qualifying concealed-license holders. Local rules may vary and may be more restrictive; please confirm the current rules that apply to your transaction.
Read Florida Statute § 790.0655 on the Florida Legislature website.
Age requirements
Florida's general rule is that a person must be 21 years old to purchase a firearm from a licensed dealer. Requirements can depend on the transaction and current law, so A-1 will verify eligibility before any transfer.
Review Florida Department of Law Enforcement firearm-purchase FAQs.
Safe-storage notice
Production placeholder: The exact Florida statutory safe-storage warning and its placement must be supplied or approved by A-1's counsel before launch. Firearms should be stored securely and inaccessible to unauthorized persons, especially minors.
Prohibited persons & buyer responsibility
People prohibited by federal, state, or local law from possessing firearms may not receive one. Each buyer is responsible for knowing and complying with all laws that apply to them and the receiving location. Nothing on this site is legal advice or a representation that a particular transaction will be approved.
